Never played?
It takes about four minutes to learn.
Pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court with a solid paddle and a hollow plastic ball. Usually doubles. Three rules do almost all the work.
- 01
Serve underhand, cross-court
Paddle below the waist, contact below the navel, ball lands diagonally opposite. Nobody gets aced in this sport, which is exactly the point.
- 02
Let it bounce. Twice.
The serve bounces, the return bounces, and only then can anyone volley. This one rule is why rallies last, and why a beginner can hang in against a much better player.
- 03
Stay out of the kitchen
The seven-foot zone either side of the net. You may stand in it; you may not volley from it. That single restriction turns the whole game into touch instead of power.
Scoring: games go to 11, win by two. You only score on your own serve — so a bad rally costs you the serve, never a point.
The rally
Two syllables, back and forth,
until somebody misses.

One paddle, on every rack.
Every rental rack paddle is the same one, on purpose. You shouldn't be learning the sport and learning a new paddle at the same time — and when you do buy your own, you'll already know what you're comparing against.
The house paddle
- Weight7.8 oz
- Mid-weight. Enough mass to block a drive, light enough to reset at the kitchen.
- Core13 mm
- Polypropylene honeycomb. Absorbs pace instead of returning it — the reason soft shots stay soft.
- FaceCarbon fibre
- Raw textured weave. Grips the ball long enough to actually put spin on it.
- Grip4.25 in
- Slim circumference. Suits most hands, and encourages the loose wrist the dink needs.
And the ball. Outdoor balls run 40 smaller holes; indoor balls use 26 larger ones and fly slower. That rigid shell against a composite face is where the name comes from.
We don't sell gear. Rentals are on the rack, free on your first visit and ₹100 after that.
Coaching & sessions
Three ways in, whatever your standard.
You don't need to book a coach to start — but the clinic will save you about a month of working it out yourself.
